![]() Know I don't know if that's true but your right with the mamba max pro, what other motors can work in this truck if the pro4 is not enough? remember I want a lot of power and torque but I don't want overkill on the track because I saw one guy had to much of a powerful motor and he was all over the track(non-racer) but would a tekin gen2 motor work good in their or would I want more torque if that's so I can upgrade the rotor and give more torque but not to much. Know as my power supply I heard that the pro4 motor is torque but they don't have much punch to the throttle when coming around corners. the RPMs plastic, I have heard that aluminum does bend and that rpms plastic is very strong, know another questions is that does this plastic break or snap, because if it does I can just buy a couple sets just in case. Thank you for your help, I was just thinking about the aluminum vs. Also before I close up do I need anti-roll bars, a cooling fan for the esc or motor? anyway if you guys can tell me what to order I will, just need advice, thank you. Also, with running a 2s lipo (ROAR's rule) do I need to upgrade to a more powerful motor/ESC, because the vxl-3s is only a 2 pole and I am thinking about a sidewinder 3 or a mamba max pro (castle creations), but I am new to racing so If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. & Back (if needed)* $ N/Aīut even know I am dressing this slash in mostly full aluminum I still need to find out what you would recommend about RPM plastic vs. aluminum motor mount Blue (its needed) $25.00 Golden Horizon (G.H.) Front lower a-arms Blue $23.00 Hear are the upgrades that I will order with the truck. Now would RPM plastic a-arms be ok or should I just buy the aluminum stuff? Remember that I will not bash with this, its all out racing. My question is that I heard that a lot of aluminum upgrades are strong and cool looking but I also heard that if you bend them they cant go back into its regular shape. I do highly recommend rebuilding ur stock shocks, the bottom oil seal is adjustable and mine were all over the place, 3 were over tight causing excessive resistance on the shaft movement.Hello, soon I will be buying a new traxxas slash 4x4 ultimate and I will use it for short course racing. I did bend my front shock shafts in my slash but the traxxas titanium nitride coated shafts and a RPM shock tower stopped that from happening again, some people in the stock slash class run rubber top mounts on there shocks so if the tower bends it won't bend the shaft. ![]() ![]() Wanna know the 3 most important things about what makes a good shock?Īnd the resistance on the piston and oil seal. ![]() What's wrong with ur currents shocks? 99% of people out there would even notice the differance in stock vs big bore. A lot of the racers seem to be using either the proline shocks or the big bore shocks, some peeps even use losi springs with those shocks. There are alloy shock tops, hardened shafts, stronger spring retainers by RPM, spring retainers with stone gaurds from RPM, even dual stage shock pistons. Honestly the stock shocks are great, there are a few upgragdes just for them.
